Everything an Indian freelancer needs
Built around actual Indian tax rules: GST thresholds, Rule 46 invoice fields, TDS, and LUT exports. Not a generic template with a ₹ pasted on.
GST, handled for you
Pick your state and the client's. CGST + SGST or IGST is applied automatically at 18%, with GSTIN and SAC fields where Rule 46 expects them.
No GSTIN? No problem
Below the ₹20 lakh threshold you don't need GST registration, and this tool doesn't pretend you do. Clean PAN-based invoices with no tax clutter.
Billing foreign clients
Export of services under LUT, zero-rated with the exact declaration text on the invoice. Foreign currencies and SWIFT details for wire transfers.
Know your TDS
An optional note shows what your client may deduct under Sec 194J and what actually lands in your bank, so the payout never surprises you.
Real, professional PDFs
Vector PDFs with selectable text, so clients can copy your account number straight off the invoice. PNG export included for quick WhatsApp sends.
Private by design
No sign-up, no server, no tracking. Everything is saved in your own browser and never leaves your device.

What freelancers say
“Sent my first-ever invoice with this. I didn't even know what a SAC code was, and it quietly filled the gaps for me.”
“The CGST/SGST vs IGST split used to confuse me every single time. Now I pick the client's state and it just does it.”
“I'm not GST-registered yet, and every other tool kept forcing tax fields on me. This one actually understands that.”
“Export under LUT with the correct declaration printed on the invoice. My CA had nothing to correct.”
“No sign-up, no watermark, and the PDF text is selectable. My client copied the account number straight from it.”
“Every junior on my team who starts freelancing gets this link from me on day one.”

Common questions
Free, instant, and no sign-up — and everything else you might be wondering.
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes, completely free. Every feature is included: GST invoices, PDF and PNG downloads, exports under LUT, TDS notes. There is no premium tier, no hidden charges, no watermark, and the project is open source.
Do I need to sign up or create an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email, no OTP. Open the page, fill in your details, and download the invoice. That's the entire flow.
How quickly can I create an invoice?
Instantly. Your first invoice takes two to three minutes of filling in details. After that it's under a minute: your business details and bank information are saved in your browser, and 'New invoice' carries them over with the next invoice number and fresh dates.
Can I create an invoice without a GSTIN?
Yes. If your turnover is below the ₹20 lakh GST threshold (₹10 lakh in special category states), you don't need GST registration. Pick 'Not registered under GST' and the invoice stays a clean, PAN-based document with no tax fields.
Does it make GST-compliant tax invoices?
Yes. Registered freelancers get the mandatory Rule 46 fields: GSTIN, SAC codes, place of supply, and an automatic CGST + SGST or IGST split at 18% based on your state and the client's.
Can I invoice foreign clients from India?
Yes. Choose export under LUT and the invoice is zero-rated with the exact declaration text, in USD, EUR, GBP and other currencies, with SWIFT details for wire transfers.
Does it add a watermark or its own branding to my invoice?
No. The downloaded PDF and PNG contain only your details: your name or logo, your signature if you add one, and nothing else.
Is there a limit on how many invoices I can create?
No limits. Create as many invoices as you need, whenever you need them. There is no quota, trial period, or paid unlock.
Where is my invoice data stored?
In your browser only. There is no server and no account; your details and invoices never leave your device. Clearing your browser data removes them, so download PDFs of anything you need to keep.
What is TDS and why is my payment smaller than the invoice?
Clients often deduct tax at source under Section 194J (typically 10% for professional services) before paying you. The generator can show an estimated TDS note on the invoice so the final payout doesn't surprise you.
Hi, I'm Karan
I'm a freelance software developer from India. My first invoice took longer to figure out than the work it billed: what a SAC code was, whether I needed GST, why TDS made the payment smaller. This is the tool I wish someone had handed me on day one. No accounts, no tracking, no paywall.
